yogababy will be conducting a specialist training course during 2010-2012 for certified yoga teachers and yoga teachers in-training. yogababy is a specialised pregnancy and postnatal yoga school based in Brisbane since 1999.
Safe practices during pregnancy
This course aims to teach practices that a pregnant woman can safely do during a general class. Covers anatomy of the pelvis; stages of pregnancy; complications during pregnancy; contra-indicators for pregnancy and modifications for safe practice.

Suzanne Swan (BA, Post Grad Dip Psychology, Dip of Transpersonal Therapy, Dip of Yoga for Pregnancy and Active Birth Education, Aware Parenting Facilitator). Suzanne is the principal of yogababy, specialising in fertility yoga, pregnancy yoga, active birth yoga and postnatal yoga. . She has developed a body-centred approach to teaching Active Birth Education and a specialised baby yoga sequence. Suzanne has been teaching pregnancy yoga and postnatal yoga since 1999.

In-depth specialised training in Prenatal, Postnatal and Active Birth Education. Series of ten weekend courses covering teaching asana for pregnancy, specialising in pregnancy yoga, teaching yoga to postnatal women, yoga for babies, teaching active birth yoga and active birth education to couples. Yogababy has offered these unique yoga classes to Brisbane families since 1999 and is now offering this in-depth training to the serious yoga teacher or teacher in training who would like to gain the confidence, knowledge and understanding to truly offer classes that meet the needs of the students in this specialised field.
module one: Teaching Yoga Asana for Pregnancy– 4th-5th Sep and/or 30th - 31st July 2011
module two: Specialising in Pregnancy yoga - 12-13th March 2011 and/or 22-23rd Oct 2011
module three: Teaching yoga to the postnatal woman- 4 - 5th June 2011
module four: Specialising in yoga for babies– 13-14th August 2011
module five: Teaching Active Birth– 12-13th November 2011, 24-25th March 2012
module six: Specialising in Active Birth Yoga– 25-16th Feb 2012
module seven: Fertility yoga and women health issues– 5th -6th May 2012
Certification as a Specialised Fertiltiy, Pregnancy and Postnatal yoga teacher will require completion of all modules.
Cost: $3300 (inc GST). 10% deposit required before commencement.
Payments over three payments can be arranged.
