Suzanne Swan

Suzanne Swan
Active Birth Educator & Senior Yoga Teacher

Suzanne Swan is the principal teacher and founder of yogababy. Suzanne has been teaching Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga since 1999. She is certified as a Yoga for Pregnancy teacher and Active Birth Educator by Jane Campbell-Kaye and Janet Balaskas of the Active Birth Centre, London (2001). Suzanne has a passion for birth and believes in the transformational power of yoga. Her yoga practice, spanning thirty years, has been dedicated to understanding how meditation and various breathing and yoga techniques enhance hormonal balance and women's health.  Suzanne teaches the Active Birth Workshops and teaches the Yogababy Teacher Training program.


Jenny Mitchell
Active Birth Educator & Pregnancy yoga teacher

Jenny is a mother of two, a registered nurse and a midwife. She has been practising yoga for over 20 years and completed her yoga certification with My Health Yoga in 2024. She has completed her training in Pregnancy and Active Birth Yoga with Suzanne Swan, Yogababy. Jenny has practised midwifery for over 10 years and worked in both public and private care models, including homebirth. Jenny aims to help women find their voice and trust their body along their motherhood journey.  Jenny teaches the pregnancy yoga classes on Saturdays in Ashgrove and facilitates the Couples Active Birth Workshop with Suzanne.

Sarah Emmert
Pregnancy Yoga Teacher 

Sarah is a mother of 3 beautiful “big kids” now; she has been teaching yoga since 2015. She is a certified yoga teacher and completed her prenatal yoga teacher training at The Yoga Institute, Sydney. Sarah is also a Birth Doula, bringing this knowledge to her yogababy classes. Sarah’s passion for supporting and empowering women during pregnancy and birth drives her to put time and genuine energy into her teaching. Sarah teaches pregnancy yoga classes in Ashgrove on Monday evenings.

Kristi Manger
Pregnancy yoga teacher

Kristi, a mother of two active boys, is a qualified yoga teacher and has been teaching since 2019. She has a passion for working with women to support and empower them along their journey to motherhood. Kristi completed her pre- and post-natal certification with Baby Bliss yoga in 2020. Kristi strongly believes that breath work (pranayama) and safe movement (asana) are crucial for a comfortable, calm pregnancy, as well as offering tools to support the birth of your baby. Kristi covers for the pregnancy yoga teachers.

Rebecca Peet
Pregnancy yoga teacher

Rebecca is a qualified Radiant Light Yoga Hatha yoga teacher who has taught since 2009. Her journey into motherhood in 2021 coincided with a keen interest in learning how to best support other mums and their babies through yoga, mainly through pranayama (breathwork). She completed her pregnancy and active birth teacher training with Suzanne Swan in 2022. Rebecca covers for the pregnancy yoga teachers.

Tanya Waldie
Pregnancy yoga teacher

As Tanya’s journey into pregnancy and parenthood unfolded, she found yoga to be a familiar and constantly evolving sanctuary. She completed her Yoga Certification with Core Yoga, West End in 2021. Seeking a greater understanding of how to support women in their yoga practice throughout pregnancy, Tanya completed her Pregnancy and Active Birth Postgraduate training with Yogababy - Suzanne Swan in 2022. In sharing yoga and life with three young children, she values a sense of compassion, connection, and curiosity. She is on maternity leave.

Mandi Cavallaro
Mums & Bubs Yoga Teacher

Enthralled by the capacity for movement to nourish our whole being, Mandi has been studying & teaching movement and mindfulness practices for almost 20 years. Her certifications include Postgraduate Diploma of Pregnancy, Active Birth and Postnatal Yoga with Suzanne Swan in 2017, as well as restorative exercise specialist training with Katy Bowman of Nutritious Movement. Having had three very different birthing and post-natal experiences with each of her children, she recognizes the deep joys of early parenting can also exist alongside the physical recovery from birth. Mandi teaches the Friday morning Mums and Bubs Yoga in Ashgrove.
